Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Project Architect to join our design team. In this client-facing role, you will lead the design vision and technical execution of renovation and interior design projects while maintaining strong communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects while developing your expertise in detailed production documentation and design management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design Leadership: Direct the architectural design process on renovation projects, from conceptual development through construction documentation, ensuring alignment with client vision and project objectives.

• Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, conducting design presentations, managing feedback, and maintaining transparent communication throughout project phases. Build and nurture client relationships that support long-term business development.

• Technical Production: Generate comprehensive construction documentation using Revit, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings that clearly communicate design intent to contractors and consultants.

• Project Management: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural engineers, MEP consultants, and interior designers to ensure seamless project delivery and adherence to schedules and budgets.

• Quality Assurance: Review design solutions and documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.

• Interior Design Integration: Apply knowledge of interior design principles and renovation best practices to create functional, aesthetically compelling spaces that meet client needs and market standards.

• Design Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior team members while contributing to the firm's design culture and continuous improvement of project processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience
• Demonstrated expertise in Revit with the ability to produce detailed, construction-ready documentation
• Proven experience leading renovation and/or interior design renovation projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present design concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work onsite in Brookfield, WI, five days per week
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional licensure as an Architect (AIA/NCARB credential or equivalent)
• Significant experience with healthcare facility design and renovation
• Knowledge of healthcare design standards and regulations
• Experience with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project management
• Familiarity with sustainable design principles and LEED certification
