Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

A prominent organization in the precast concrete and prefabricated building systems manufacturing sector is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their dynamic team in West Sacramento, CA. Role and Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting project managers throughout various stages of precast and prefab design-build projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Assisting in the buyout process by evaluating bids and supporting negotiations with subcontractors.
Managing and tracking submittals, ensuring timely and accurate documentation for project compliance.
Responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and facilitating communication between project stakeholders.
Monitoring project schedules and budgets, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Providing field support during the erection phase, addressing on-site challenges, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Participating in project closeout activities, including documentation and final inspections.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong preference for background in precast or structural concrete.
Demonstrated understanding of project management principles and construction processes.
Proficiency in project management software and tools, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering quality results.
Preferred certifications include Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
