Job Title: Electrical Lead - Preconstruction

A leading manufacturer in precast concrete and prefabricated building systems, utilizing a design-build delivery model, is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead for their preconstruction team. This organization is dedicated to delivering innovative building solutions in the greater Sacramento region of Northern California.

Role and Responsibilities:

As the Electrical Lead in preconstruction, you will play a pivotal role in managing electrical design coordination for prefabricated and modular assemblies, particularly for mission-critical and data center projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the electrical design process during preconstruction, ensuring that all electrical systems are seamlessly integrated into prefabricated building components.
Collaborating closely with design-build teams to drive early design decisions that enhance constructability and project efficiency.
Conducting thorough reviews of electrical design documents and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Facilitating design-assist workshops with stakeholders to identify and resolve potential design conflicts early in the process.
Providing technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the preconstruction phase to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Staying abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in electrical design and prefabrication methodologies.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design or design-assist roles, preferably within an electrical contractor or engineering firm.
Proven experience with data center and mission-critical projects is strongly preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Strong understanding of electrical design principles, codes, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to maintaining a high standard of quality and safety throughout the preconstruction process.
